The Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) provides university staff with over PLN 916 million for salary increases. The allocation of the additional amounts will start soon.
This is addition to the funds allocated at the end of last year, simultaneously with state treasury bonds that become another injection of money for universities implementing the Constitution for Science.
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education points out that the amount now allocated is not money to increase the minimum wage for academic teachers. The minimum salary has been raised since January this year as the minimum pay for lecturers is set out in the Constitution for Science. However, the way of the distribution of funds from the reserve for remuneration will be decided autonomously by the universities.
