The Pedagogical University of Krakow is the first university in Poland that received the title of a Fair Trade School.

Obtaining the title of a Fair Trade School is related to the fulfilment of many criteria, including both the declaration of support for Fair Trade by the university authorities, as well as activities building the awareness of students and academic teachers in the area of Fair Trade and responsible consumption.

The initiator and coordinator of activities related to the campaign for two years was the Pro Universitatis Foundation. The fulfilment of the criteria is the result of a campaign promoting Fair Trade within the university. In subsequent years, the UP in Kraków intends to promote the subject of Sustainable Public Procurement.
