The Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology at the Gdańsk University of Technology and the Polish Offshore Wind Energy Society will jointly organize postgraduate studies in offshore wind energy. Applications can be submitted until September 15.

The studies will last two semesters, and their lecturers will be specialists from the Gdańsk University of Technology and companies from the wind energy sector. In addition to knowledge related to the design and operation of wind farms, their topics will cover the legal aspects of the operation of such structures. The first group of students will consist of about 40 people.

– We can foresee a dozen or so years of huge investments in offshore wind farms ahead of us, which requires the preparation of staff to create and operate such facilities. Post-graduate studies launched at the Gdańsk University of Technology are the first step to provide the industry with the necessary specialists – assures Mariusz Witoński, president of the Polish Wind Energy Association.
