On September 9-12, 2019, the 39th Congress of the Polish Astronomical Society (PTA) will be held at the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn.
The congress is organized by the Center for Radio Diagnostics of the Space Environment UWM and the Polish Astronomical Society in cooperation with the Olsztyn Planetarium and Astronomical Observatory. The honorary patronage over the congress was taken by the Minister of Science and Higher Education.
The UWM is planning 8 scientific sessions. The speakers will include winners of the PTA Youth Award, the Wlodzimierz Zonn Award for the dissemination of knowledge about the Universe, and the Paczyński Medal, the highest distinction granted by the Polish Astronomical Society for outstanding achievements in astronomy and astrophysics.
