The Biobank Laboratory of the University of Lodz (UŁ) is organizing the BioNinja Challenge 2019- bioinformatic hackathon. Its goal is the integration of biologists and IT specialists and bioinformaticians.

The organizers want to show that it is possible to cooperate, and very creative solutions are created by bringing together different areas of knowledge. This is the second goal of the event – to develop (in competition form) new solutions to problems affecting modern bioinformatics. The event will take place at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection at the University of Lodz on October 4-6, 2019.

During hackathon, in addition to coding, there are planned presentations of experts of the analysis of biological data. This event is to connect people associated with the academic and business community.
