Poznań scientists join the National Ethics Committee for Animal Experiments

The Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin appointed Prof.  Krzysztof W. Nowak and Prof. Dariusz Skarżyński from the Poznań University of Life Sciences to the members of the National Ethical Committee for Animal Experiments.

Both professors are scholars of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences of the Poznań University. They were appointed to the commission for a four-year term of office 2019-2023.

The National Ethical Committee is an opinion-forming, advisory, methodological and information body which plays an important role in creating and passing good practices in planning and performing procedures, applying the principles of replacement, reduction and refinement, as well as alternative methods used in animal testing. It also plays an important role in contacts with the European Commission.
