Nearly 300 events were prepared by the Wrocław University of Science and Technology as part of the 22nd Lower Silesian Science Festival, starting this Friday. The program includes lectures, workshops, experimental demonstrations, as well as the Oxford debate and meetings with enthusiasts of various fields of science.

The theme of the event is the saying of Hugo Steinhaus – an outstanding mathematician and humanist – “Mathematics mediates between spirit and matter”. In this way, the festival is part of the celebration of the Jubilee Year of Mathematics. Wroclaw universities, institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences and non-university environments will participate in it.

During the event scientific organizations will present their achievements, biomedical engineering, nanotechnologies and space projects. Participants will also be able to see closely fiber lasers and unusual energy sources.
Admission is free, registration is required for some events.
