Scientists from eight Polish universities headed the teams operating within the Council of Scientific Excellence.

The Scientific Excellence Council is a new body working for the development of Polish scientific staff. It was created under the Constitution for Science. It is to ensure the highest standards of quality of scientific activity required to obtain the academic titles.
The Humanities Team is chaired by Prof. Małgorzata Omilanowska from the University of Gdańsk.

The chairman of the Team of Engineering and Technical Sciences became Prof. Eng. Janusz Krzysztof Kowal from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.
The Group of Medical Sciences and Health Sciences is headed by Prof. Adam Janusz Dziki from the Medical University of Lodz.
The Agricultural Sciences Team will be headed by Prof. Jan Franciszek Jankowski from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.
The Social Sciences Team is chaired by Prof. Krzysztof Jajuga from the Wrocław University of Economics.
The chairman of the Team of Sciences and Natural Sciences is Prof. Krzysztof Michał Pachucki from the University of Warsaw.
The Team of Theological Sciences will be directed by Fr. Prof. Krzysztof Góźdź from the Catholic University of Lublin.
The Art Team is headed by Prof. Andrzej Banachowicz from the University of Arts in Poznań.
