University of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań is the only academic center in Poland where LEGO® Education Innovation Studio – a space to learn, work and play -was launched. The studio was created in cooperation with the Akces Education company, which donated dozens of LEGO sets.
– We want it to be a studio available to the entire University, It is important to teach children about interesting things through play and analysis of relationships between elements. Already at this stage, we are thinking about the future, searching good candidates for studies, employees who will be able to think innovatively, not only in science but also in the humanities – says the Vice-Rector for Information Technology and cooperation with the socio-economic environment of Prof. Marek Nawrocki.
The sets of blocks include heat sensors, distances, related to pneumatics, light intensity. They will be used to teach the kids the concepts of mathematics and physics, as well as programming.
