The Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and the United Nations Information Center (UN) in Warsaw are inviting participants to the conference “Climate change in Poland”, which will take place on October 23, 2019 at the University of Warsaw Library.
The participants will try to answer the questions: What threat is the global warming? How does it affect our health? How will it translate into migration? Will rivers dry in 30 years? Will we have something to drink? How will nature change? What do politicians and business say about it?
Introduction to the conference will be made by prof. Szymon Malinowski from the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw, who will present the issues of global warming.
Panel discussions will include: Henryk Kowalczyk, Minister of the Environment, Jadwiga Emilewicz, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology, Dr Michał Kurtyka, Deputy Minister of the Environment, Rafał Trzaskowski, President of Warsaw, Dr Paloma Cuchi, Director of the Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Poland.
