Researcher from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences receives Award for the best popular science book

The Golden Rose 2019 Award for the best popular science book written in Polish was received by Dr Urszula Zajączkowska from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) in Warsaw for the book “Patyki, Badyle”, which was published by Marginesy Publishing House.

Scientific interests of Dr Urszula Zajączkowska from the Department of Forest Botany SGGW focus on the analysis of plant growth and movement using time-lapse photography, plant biomechanics, plant geometry and shapes, and plant regeneration after injury.

The Golden Rose Award, established by the editors of the New Books monthly, the Book Institute and the Science Festival in Warsaw is awarded to the best popular science book written in Polish, which serves the purpose of reliable dissemination of scientific knowledge and is distinguished by an outstanding literary form.
