The Medical University of Bialystok (UMB) received over PLN 13 million from the National Center for Research and Development. The larger part of this amount, almost PLN 9 million, will be allocated to the modernization of the Dentistry department and to the creation of a new course.
– First of all, we will introduce e-learning, which is a completely different model of student education in the field of seminars and lectures. Then we will open a new direction: dental hygiene. We will also develop a training program in CAD / CAM systems, because printing is a new method of prosthetic restorations. We haven’t had this method so far, that’s why we want to introduce it to the education program – explains Dr Teresa Siepińska from UMB.
The remaining amount, nearly 4.5 million PLN, will be transferred to the internationalization of the Medical University.
Thanks to the money raised, the university will have more opportunities to present itself on Asian, American and Canadian markets. Also, an application for mobile devices will also be created that will allow to communicate with scientists from abroad and UMB English-speaking students.
