Marta Kawicka, the third year student of veterinary medicine of the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław was selected for the MSD Animal Health & FVE 2020 scholarship program. The jury selected 36 people out of 117 candidates from around the world.
The scholarship is awarded to students of the third and fourth year of veterinary studies. In the competition, it was necessary to submit an application including self-presentation and an essay on the topic: “How can we use the knowledge and experience in veterinary medicine in the face of a pandemic such as covid-19?”.
The scholarship is the result of a partnership between the European Veterinary Federation and MSD with the support of the International Veterinary Students Association and the European Association of Veterinary Medicine Faculties. Its aim is to promote young people who will create the future of veterinary medicine. MSD Animal Health is a company that supports scientific research, but also produces drugs, apparatus and equipment necessary for the treatment of animals.
