The Academic Sports Centre of the Bydgoszcz University of Technology will begin operations at the start of the new academic year. A modern building of more than 4,000 m² has been constructed in the northern part of the university’s Fordon campus, including a hall with basketball, volleyball and futsal courts and a grandstand for 400 people.
The ACS also houses a climbing wall, a cardio room, a classical gym and a room for strength triathlon-related training. The facility also has a multi-purpose room for fitness, dance classes and physical rehabilitation, a sauna and modern coaching and technical/storage facilities. The value of the entire investment is approximately PLN 28 million.
The university is planning to begin construction of the 2nd stage of the ACS later this year, with a football pitch, running track, athletics area and basketball and beach volleyball courts. The sports facilities will eventually be complemented by tennis courts and a shooting range.
