The Academy of Applied Sciences in Konin and the Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University in Drohobych (Ukraine) will cooperate. The basis of the signed agreement is to enrich the achievements of both universities in the spheres of personnel training, scientific and research activities, cultural and social activities.

The agreement stipulates the development of partnerships, the expansion of knowledge and the exchange of experience on both sides through dialogue and cooperation in all areas of education, research, the implementation of professional practice and the organisation of activities for the benefit of the local environment. The cooperation will also concern the exchange of lecturers, students, as well as staff.

The origins of the Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University in Drohobych can be traced back to the Franko Joseph Gymnasium, founded in the city in 1858, which was first transformed into an institute and then into a university (1998).
