The Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw signed an order prohibiting the use of single-use items made of plastic at the university and promoting an ecological lifestyle.

The ordinance eliminates the use of disposable plates, cutlery, cups, stirrers, sticks, straws and food containers made of plastics, and requires that they should be replaced with reusable counterparts or disposable compostable or biodegradable products.

The new rules that have come into force include also promoting an ecological lifestyle, drinking tap water, buying drinks in returnable or reusable bottles, and using university promotion materials that can be fully recycled by the university and complete giving plastic objects up.
