Researchers from the University of Physical Education in Poznań will check the impact of juggling training on problems with balance and coordination, as well as the development of cognitive abilities in people over 60 years of age.
The project is addressed to people who have never had contact with activities such as juggling before. The classes will start at the beginning of October and will be conducted for three months. Participants will undergo a series of tests assessing the level of their attention, concentration, memory and balance skills.
Scientific research shows that in Poland nearly every third person over 65 experiences falls. Researchers from Poznań predict that participation in the classes will contribute to the improvement of attention, coordination, memory, reaction speed and balance of project participants. It will improve functioning in everyday life situations and reduce the risk of falls in the future.
