– 90 years ago and today the Józef Piłsudski Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw has been a highly specialized university, providing services to people of all ages. Every year, many eminent graduates leave our university with a diploma of a trainer, instructor, pedagogue, physiotherapist, nurse, cosmetologist and occupational therapy specialist – said Prof. Andrzej Mastalerz, rector of the Academy of Physical Education, opening a new academic year.

The inaugural lecture titled “Mountaineering – a strange sport” “was delivered by Dr Janusz Onyszkiewicz, former president of the Polish Mountaineering Association and two-time national defense minister.

According to the university, during the ceremony, the delegation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education handed over to the Rector of the University of Physical Education a check with a nominal value of PLN 31,925,000 in treasury bonds, which will increase the university’s capital and will allow to finance investment tasks of the Warsaw Academy.
