At the Wrocław University of Science and Technology (PWr), 37 employees of the university received their nominations as university Accessibility Leaders. This is a group committed to promoting the idea of accessibility, with the task of supporting people with special needs at the level of university units. Its members have undergone intensive three-month training to best assist.
The leadership team includes both academics and administrative staff. Their task is to support people with special needs and to undertake and support activities to make PWr more accessible in the faculties and other units/units of the university.
“I am pleased that your group is so large. People with special needs are a much larger part of the university than it may seem at first glance. That is why it is so important that we create a good support system. It is an important foundation of the community we want our university to be”, says the rector of PWr Prof. Arkadiusz Wójs.
