Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań has been ranked highly in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2024. The university was ranked first in Poland in the fields of Education (ex aequo with Jagiellonian University and the University of Wrocław) and Arts and Huminiaties (ex aequo with Jagiellonian University and the University of Warsaw).
This year’s ranking was conducted according to refreshed guidelines. The changes concerned the area of analysis of the publication activity of universities. In addition to the existing ones: the number of scientific papers and their citations, publication validity indicators were added: Research Excellence and Research Influence.
The assessment of university quality in the ranking takes into account five main indicators: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, International Outlook and Industry. Data is obtained from the universities, the Scopus database and academic reputation surveys distributed to researchers.
