Adam Mickiewicz University (UAM) in Poznań (UAM) was ranked 339th in the ‘green’ UI World University Rankings GreenMetric 2023. The university maintained its third position among Polish universities.

UAM scored a total of 7100 points (125 more than last year). The largest increase in scores was recorded in the Settings & Infrastracture category, receiving 1,100 points compared to the 840 obtained last year. In second place, a clearly positive change is observed in the Waste category, where the university recorded an increase of 225 points compared to last year’s ranking.

The ranking assesses sustainability and climate protection measures, including the university’s degree of greening, electricity and water consumption, as well as the use of transport or waste management. The ranking recorded 1183 universities from around the world – more than 130 more than last year. Universities from the Netherlands, England and Germany topped the podium.
