The Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (UAM) has maintained its position in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai ranking) and, as in the previous two years, was ranked between 901 and 1000.
‘The Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan maintained its position and once again found itself among the top 1,000 universities in the world. The Shanghai ranking takes into account more than 20 000 academic units from all over the world, so this is a very good result. By improving our science and didactics, we hope to be ranked higher in the future, not only in this ranking, but in all rankings’, says Adam Mickiewicz University’s Vice-Chancellor for Human Resources and Development Prof. Tadeusz Wallas.
The Shanghai ranking assesses universities using data on Nobel Prize and Fields Medal winners, the highest cited papers, articles published in Nature and Science, and data from the Science Citation Index-Expanded and Social Science Citation Index databases (Clarivate Analytics).
