The ISME Group (Ideas for Space Mining Engineering) is organizing the 2nd Cosmic Mining Conference on 16 May 2019 at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

The conference is devoted to space mining, the geological aspects, engineering of devices, vehicles and machines, as well as legal and economic problems that should be considered in order to implement this futuristic idea.

The conference is divided into three sections: Mechanical Engineering, focused on technological, constructional and material issues, Mining and Geology, which takes into account geological aspects of exploitation of extraterrestrial resources and Law and Economics, dedicated to the analysis of economic aspects of Space mining, international regulations concerning the acquisition and exploitation of resources beyond the Earth.
