People can achieve immunity from COVID-19 by getting vaccinated or being exposed to the disease. On August 11, Dr Magdalena Rosińska will answer all questions at the online meeting “Coronavirus insight” organized by the Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw and the Polish Academy of Sciences.
In Poland, at the beginning of August 2021, the total number of fully vaccinated and disease survivors was around 20 million. This result provides a population resistance of just over 50 percent, which is far from the required threshold, estimated for at least 80 percent.
Dr Magdalena Rosińska is an epidemiologist, researcher and specialist in public health, associated professor in health sciences, professor of the National Institute of Public Health of the National Institute of Hygiene – National Research Institute, member of the interdisciplinary team for COVID-19 of the president of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
