The American Corner Center for American Culture and Information in Katowice, operating as part of the cooperation between the University of Silesia in Katowice and the US Embassy, ​​was ranked first among all American Corner centers in terms of activity evaluation for 2020/2021.

The American Corner in Katowice organizes events for people interested in the United States. The center conducts numerous classes, workshops, training for teachers and educators, and international conferences with other American Corner centers around the world. The center in Katowice implemented 109 programs in the last year of its operation.

The center also includes a library that provides book collections and databases in eLibrary USA. Film screenings and concerts are also organized. The events are aimed at bringing the history, culture and geography of the United States closer to Poles.
