Application from the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia reaches the final of the Applications of Tomorrow

28.09.2020

The Vika application, developed in the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia by a multidisciplinary team of Polish scientists, reached the final of the Applications of Tomorrow competition organized by the Polish Development Fund.

The Polish Development Fund competition aims to support the best Polish projects that are to help fight the pandemic and support Poles after the COVID crisis in the areas of health, work and entrepreneurship.

The Vika app can calculate how many healthy years we can expect. Its algorithm takes into account individual lifestyle data, including sleep hygiene, meals and physical activity. The application informs about the user’s health in a clear and understandable way. A 40-year-old man may read that he will be healthy for another 30 years, but it may also turn out to be much shorter. It all depends on his lifestyle- say the designers.
