The Arboretum of the University of Wrocław won the Lower Silesian Key of Success in the category of “the best tourist undertaking or organizer of mass cultural, recreational or sporting events”. The award was presented during the final gala of the XXII competition.
The Wojsławice arboretum is one of the few survived former parklands in Lower Silesia. With a collection of over 12,000 plant species and their varieties it belongs to the richest gardens in Poland. The largest and most valuable sets of plants: azaleas, boxwood and daylilies in 2011 received certificates of Polish National Collections. In 2013, the American Hemerocallis Society awarded the daylily collection the prestigious title of “Display Garden AHS”.
The Lower Silesian Key of Success is the highest regional distinction, granted annually by a specially appointed jury. It enjoys great recognition in economic, cultural and local government societies.
