The Autonomous Vehicles Working Group was created in Pomerania. Its inaugurating meeting was attended by representatives of the Pomeranian Marshal’s Office, entrepreneurs interested in autonomous vehicles, representatives of Pomeranian clusters and scientists.
– The main goal of establishing Autonomous Vehicles Working Group is to create conditions for the development and sale of services and products related to autonomous vehicles – says Prof. Łukasz Kulas from the faculty of electronics, telecommunications and computer science of the Gdańsk University of Technology.
Autonomous vehicles are a reality that is revolutionizing the world economy. Unmanned trains are already in operation, tests of driverless cars are underway as well as the first pilot tests of autonomous trams or vessels.
Such technologies are attracting an increasing interest also in Poland, due not only to the possibility of cost reduction, but above all to relieving people in the implementation of painstaking and often dangerous work.
