The Office of Rail Transport settled the contest “Safety culture in rail transport”. One of the awards was received by the Krakow University of Technology for launching the Laboratory of Railway Traffic Engineering.

The Krakow laboratory is equipped with railway traffic simulators and enables practical learning of traffic management principles and actions in atypical situations.

It was established at the Institute of Road, Railway and Transport Engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Krakow University. It is equipped with 12 computer workstations, which reflect the work of the traffic dispatchers.

Tthe studio is used for all students of transport, including rail transport specialties. Ultimately, classes are planned for students of Construction with specialty railways.
