Awards in the ‘Science for Society II’ programme

The Ministry of Education and Science (MEiN) has announced the results of the first competition under the ‘Science for Society II’ programme. Fifty-five projects will receive financial support. The total amount of funds earmarked for this purpose is over PLN 45.5 million.

According to MEiN, the following projects received the highest financial support:

Institute of Sport – National Research Institute – Centile grids of height, body mass and body mass index of children and adolescents in Poland (amount of support: PLN 2,000,000.00),

Nicolaus Copernicus Foundation – Copernicus 2043 (amount of support: PLN 1,996,000.00),

Verus Association of Animal Breeders and Producers of the Agricultural and Food Sector – Eurasian wild boar motility as the genesis of African Swine Fever (ASF) transmission (amount of support: PLN 1,960,185.00),

Jan Grodek State University in Sanok – Biodiversity of mountain areas of Podkarpacie towards the challenges of the European Green Deal (amount of support: PLN 1,951,600.00),

John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin – Let’s discover the potential of fermented food – from scientific research to health prevention (amount of support: PLN 1,811,910.00).
