The 4th competition for the best master’s thesis on rural development has been settled. The aim of the competition organised by the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development of the Polish Academy of Sciences together with the European Fund for the Development of Polish Rural Areas Foundation is to promote the subject of rural development, including in particular issues relating to socio-economic changes in the Polish countryside, by awarding master’s theses describing these issues.
The winner of the first prize was Adam Robert Parol for his thesis “Organisation of public transport in the Słupsk Urban Functional Area – current state and prospects”. The thesis was defended at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków.
The second prize was awarded to Dominik Gapiński for his thesis “Impact of a large city on the cultural landscape of a village on the example of the capital city of Warsaw”. The thesis was presented at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
The third prize was awarded to Przemysław Załęski for his thesis “Management and agricultural plans as a tool for comprehensive implementation of spatial planning regulations for rural areas in the gmina of Różany”, presented at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
