Białystok University of Technology (PB) is one of the beneficiaries of the ‘Implementation of a system of coordination and monitoring of regional activities for vocational education, higher education and lifelong learning, including adult learning’. The Podlaskie Voivodeship received PLN 21.5 million for activities coordinated by the Voivodeship Labour Office.
The aim of the project is for schools, higher education institutions and businesses to cooperate in such a way as to adapt the educational offer to the needs of the local market.
“Education is about continuously improving one’s qualifications. During the 40 years of an engineer’s career, the world is changing. Completely new specialisations, new solutions are emerging. It is hard to imagine basing your education solely on the knowledge you gain during your studies, and someone has to pass this knowledge on to you”, said Dr Mirosław Świercz, Professor of PB, Vice-Rector for Development of the PB.
The project will run from 1 September 2023 to 30 June 2026.
