A Mobile Laboratory of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles has been established at the Bielsko-Biała University of Technology and Humanities. The new unit is designed as an element of the didactic base for students of the Faculty of Transport.

An element of the laboratory’s equipment is a professional, industrial DJI Matrice 300 RTK drone used by rescue, fire and police services in many countries. Along with the drone, additional equipment was purchased, consisting of a camera with a 12 MP wide-angle lens, a 20x optical zoom camera and a laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1,200 metres, as well as a DJI Zenmuse L1 lidar used to create 3D models of land cover and terrain.

The unit was also equipped with a set of 7 DJI Mini 2 light drones, a set of 7 Ryze Tello EDU educational drones, and two portable educational obstacle courses for learning to fly a drone.
