The biomedical engineering faculty at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Education in the category ‘Excellent faculty – excellence in faculty education’.
The Presidium of the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA) appreciated the construction of the curriculum: the concept, learning objectives and learning outcomes, and the implementation of the curriculum: curriculum content, timetable for the implementation of the curriculum and the forms and organisation of classes, teaching methods, professional practice, organisation of the teaching and learning process, as well as the competence, experience, qualifications and number of teaching staff and their development and improvement.
The importance of the distinction is evidenced by the fact that PKA awards an average of around 20 certificates per year, and this applies to all higher education institutions in Poland and all fields of study conducted, related to all fields of science.
