The book “The Evolution of Supply Chains” by Prof. Maciej Szymczak, University of Economics in Poznań took third place in this year’s ranking of free books most frequently downloaded from the Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL) platform in Poland.

The fundamental research problem undertaken in the work is the issue of the causes and directions of the evolution of supply chains. The work identifies and systematizes the main and most visible directions of this process.

The author also indicated comprehensive methodologies for modeling the process of organizational changes and diagnostic tools, as well as solutions in the area of ​​information technologies with the greatest potential from the perspective of the evolution of supply chains. The work is a theoretical study, but it contains numerous references to the practice of supply chain functioning.
