The Botanical Garden of the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz will be revitalized. The contract for the first stage of works was signed by the authorities of the Marshal’s Office, the City of Bydgoszcz and the University of Bydgoszcz. The project will be financed under the Regional Operational Program of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship.
The main goal of the project is to make this space more accessible to the local community, including seniors and people with disabilities. The conditions for teaching, educational and research activities conducted by the university will be also improved.
The investment is worth almost PLN 3 million and it includes a thorough renovation and extension of the House by the Pond and warehouse buildings. Also, an educational and cultural facility, a “Green School” shed, a wooden bridge over the pond, a fence around the apiary, as well as new lighting and monitoring will also be built. The project also assumes the reconstruction of the surface of the paths and the reconstruction of the fence by the pond.
