10.02.2020

Christopher Pincher, Minister of Great Britain for Europe and the Americas was a guest of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) on February 5, 2020. This representative of the British government talked about future relations between European Union countries and the United Kingdom after Brexit.

In his speech he entitled Future UK relations with Poland, Europe and the world, Minister Pincher tried to convince the gathered scholars and students to an optimistic scenario of future Polish-British relations, as well as relations with other EU countries after Brexit.

Although he assured that “education is still one of the most important aspects of cooperation between Poland and Great Britain, and Polish students will be invariably welcome as members of the community of British universities”, the principles on which European students will study in this country after 2020 are unknown. The previous ones will be valid only for those who will start their studies this academic year.

Minister Christopher Pincher’s visit was prepared in cooperation with the British Embassy in Warsaw and the Institute of International Relations of the Warsaw School of Economics.
