During the “Builder for the Future” gala, the “Builder” monthly resolved competitions for young architects and engineers.
The idea of the competitions is to support students of architecture and construction faculties as well as beginner architects and engineers in expanding their professional and practical knowledge, skills and competences.
First prize in the amount of PLN 8,000 PLN in the Competition for Young Engineers was won by the “Design of a suspended footbridge over the Skawinka River along the Vistula Cycling Route” by Mariusz Spyrka from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Krakow University of Technology (PK) and Agata Florek from the Faculty of Architecture of the Krakow University of Technology.
In the Competition for Young Architects, the 1st prize was awarded to the project “BIKE STOP”, Center of Bicycle Movement and New Ideas in the Silesian Park in Chorzów by Michał Szymaszek, a graduate of the State Higher Vocational School in Racibórz and the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.
