From 14 to 20 November 2022, the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy (AGH) in Krakow will celebrate the Festival of Computational Sciences – Prof. Antoni Hoborski Days. 

The event’s programme will include conferences and a concert, and during the ceremony in the AGH auditorium the following awards will be presented: Prof. Antoni Hoborski Award, Prof. Kazimierz Bartel Medal and Artistic Hoborski Star.

The aim of organising the Celebration is to disseminate and popularise the need for the development of science and awareness of its proper teaching, particularly among secondary school and university teachers and the business community – as consumers of the effects of scientists’ work and potential future employers of university graduates.

Prof. Antoni Hoborski was the first rector of the AGH University of Science and Technology (later AGH) from 1920 to 1922 and at the same time Dean of the first Faculty of Mining at AGH.
