An interdisciplinary Center for Research on Civilization Diseases will be created at the Pomeranian University in Słupsk. The Ministry of the Interior and Administration has allocated PLN 1.7 million for this purpose.

The Center was designed as an interdisciplinary center, allowing the implementation of topics from both basic and theoretical as well as clinical, epidemiological research, and also in the field of psychology and sociology of civilization diseases.

The Center will establish laboratories for clinical, epidemiological and statistical analysis; research on metabolic processes as well as basic and experimental research of civilization diseases.
