The Centre for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences joins the IBM Quantum Network Hub established by the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Centre (PSNC).
The Centre for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences is one of the leading scientific centres in Poland in the field of quantum computing. It coordinates, among others, the Team-Net project on investigating the limitations and potential applications of currently available quantum computers. The Centre for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences is home to four research groups working on quantum information, which, thanks to the signed agreement, will be able to join experiments on quantum computers.
The PSNC, affiliated with the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, was the first institution in Central Europe to join the IBM Quantum Network in February 2022. As part of its funding to date, it has provided cloud access to IBM quantum computers running computational experiments in various areas of scientific challenges.
