The Centre for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (CFT PAN) will join the IBM Quantum Network Hub. This is another part of strengthening national quantum computing.
The IBM Quantum Network is an international network connecting individuals who have access to the quantum computing systems of computer giant IBM. Members also benefit from quantum software development tools. The first IBM Quantum Hub in Central and Eastern Europe was established by the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Centre (PSNC) in February 2022. Now another institute joining the network is the Centre for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
“We are witnessing a quantum revolution, during which quantum technologies are playing an increasingly important role. The IBM devices are the best quantum computers we can access now”, said Dr Krzysztof Pawłowski, deputy director for scientific affairs at the CFT PAN.
