The students of the Children’s University of Technology in Opole have solemnly begun the new academic year. During the 15th jubilee year, lectures for children will be given by deans, and proposals for parents have also been prepared.
250 people have signed up for the 15th year of the Opole Children’s University of Technology. The first lecture, ‘Design thinking, or how to creatively solve problems’, was given by Dr Marzena Szewczuk-Stępień, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management.
“This is the first lecture of the jubilee year, a group close to me, I have a daughter of a similar age, but on a daily basis I conduct classes with slightly older students. You have to adapt the subject matter to the audience, choose slightly different examples, a little less content, more graphics and get into the world they live in, which is quite different from ours”, says the lecturer.
To date, seven thousand students have taken part in the Children’s University of Technology of Opole. The university also houses the Youth Technical University of Opole.
