Wroclaw Culture Zone in cooperation with scientists from the University of Wroclaw – invites participants to a series of lectures within the third semester of the City Academy. The first lecture is titled: How does urban democracy work? will be delivered on February 20 by Prof. Leszek Koczanowicz.
The city is an extremely complicated and living organism. The organizers of the Municipal Academy are planning to analyze the key processes that shape the urban space and the living conditions of residents and discuss: the issues of escaping from the suburbs and new bourgeoisie; urban democracy; embarrassing spaces, as well as the importance of literature in creating the city’s identity.
The aim of the series is to try to understand the changes that Wrocław has undergone in recent decades. The meetings will consist of two parts: lectures conducted by cultural scientists and sociologists, and discussions on the discussed topics.
