Polish language courses, online walks around Lublin and various activities integrating foreign students with the local community are some of the winning projects under the pilot Program Supporting Academic Initiatives. Co-financing from the budget of the City Hall in Lublin with the total value of the granted support over PLN 51,000 will be allocated to 9 projects.   

The first municipal competition to support activities for enhancing the academic character of Lublin was met with great interest by students, scientists and Lublin universities. -I sincerely congratulate all the winners and wish them fruitful and satisfactory implementation of their scientific, cultural and social projects. The popularity of the first Program for Supporting Academic Initiatives caused its continuing – said Krzysztof Żuk, Mayor of Lublin.

Entities implementing initiatives for the development of Lublin’s academic character as e.g. universities, institutes, research clubs, foundations and non-governmental organizations could apply for financial, material or promotional aid from the Program for Supporting Academic Initiatives.
