From June 5 to June 6 2019, the Jagiellonian University in Krakow was holding a conference of representatives of the prestigious university network Coimbra Group.
The Coimbra Group is a network of universities established in 1985, comprising 39 oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe.
The organization’s goal is to consolidate ties between the oldest universities in Europe with high standards of teaching and research. Coimbra Group universities cooperate within the working groups in order to develop academic solution in the field of student and employee mobility, research, as well as to shape European educational policy.
The event started with an international conference “Women in the University – the past and the future”. The aim of the conference was to assess the situation of women in universities and identify strategies that can help increase their role in the higher education sector and their contribution to the development of science.
