Collegium Martineum of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań to launch Enigma Cipher Center

The Enigma Cipher Center will be built in the Collegium Martineum of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The first visitors will be able to enter the Center in 2021.

In the place of today’s Collegium Martineum, before 1939, there was a cipher office of the General Staff of the Polish Army, where Marian Rejewski, Jerzy Różycki and Henryk Zygalski – broke the code of the German cipher machine worked.

The exhibition will be divided into themed zones, equipped with interactive and multimedia stands and traditional exhibits. In addition to individual tours, there will also be classes for organized groups and open lectures.

As part of the investment, the interior of the building will be modernized. In addition to their new arrangement and renovation of the installation, its accessibility for people with disabilities will also be improved.
