Białystok University of Technology (PB) is inviting participants to take part in the nationwide competition “Wood in Architecture 2019”, for the best master thesis, which show the advantages of wood as a construction, building and ending material.

The competition is the result of cooperation of the Architecture Department PB with Unibep SA and Danwood SA. The Podlasie region has always been associated with wooden architecture, and both companies, based in Bielsk Podlaski, belong to the largest producers of wooden dwellings in Europe. The works can be submitted from October 1 to October 22.

Jury of the competition under the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture PB Dr Eng. Aleksandr Asanowicz will assess the works and award the following prizes: First Prize – PLN 8,000, Second Prize – PLN 6,000, Third Prize – PLN 4,000 and two equivalent additional prizes – PLN 2,000 each.
