The Progress 3 Consortium, which includes universities from Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, organizes for the seventh competition for the best PhD thesis in member universities.

The thematic categories of the competition include Economics, finance and management; Raw materials, energy and environmental protection; Health and applications in health care; Information technologies and Electrical Engineering and Competitiveness of the machine industry.

In the current competition, PhD theses delivered from 1 January to 31 December 2018 or exceptionally in December 2017 can be presented.

The Progres 3 consortium was established to create links between universities located in the Czech regions: Moravian-Silesian and Žilina; in the Trenčín region and the Banská Bystrica region in Slovakia and in the Polish Silesia and Opolskie regions.
