Academy of Physical Education (AWF) in Krakow, 2-4 of September 2019, is organizing the 9th National Scientific Conference of the Polish Society of Social Sciences about Sport “Sport and tourism in the perspective of social sciences: tradition and the presence”.

The aim of the conference is to present research and theoretical reflection on cultural and social determinants of sport and tourism.

The result of the debates will be the publication of a reviewed scientific monograph. The topics of the conference will focus on the broad social horizon of physical culture.

Various conceptual approaches to physical culture in the field of sociology, philosophy, history and management sciences will be discussed in the context of both tradition and contemporary challenges in Poland and the world. Social sciences about physical culture strive to place sport, recreation and tourism in the broader horizon of values constituting the foundation of cultural, social and national ethos.
